Bias Custody Battles

Pondering to myself trying to figure out are custody battles bias or not? I begin to think this because I've recently observed several custody battles and come to see that many people tend to get custody depending on who they are or what they have. You don’t have to agree with my thoughts but I notice facts.  In some situations it’s not about who can take care of the child best or who suits the child’s needs better, but about who has the money and power to get there way.

For example, I did some research on the famous singer Usher Raymond child custody battle with his ex-wife Tameka Raymond. Usher got full custody of both his sons and Tameka bailey gets visitation rights. From a mothers point of view I look at this as kind of strange. I begin to question whether the custody agreement was because usher was the suitable parent or the one with the most money and power. As a celebrity singer that has tours and performances in several different stated I find it hard to believe that Usher is the best parent for the two young boys, yet he wins full custody over both kids. Is this money and power or a correct sense of judgment?

Another celebrity battle that I read up on was Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. The news states that both parents are basically trying to bribe their daughter into wanting to be with one or the other. From my point of view I look at it someone not wanting to shell out child support payments so they shower the kid with gifts to show that they can take care of her needs. Is this not biased? I do believe so.

Lastly I looked up famous NBA player Dwayne Wade and his now ex-wife custody battle. They had been together since the fourth grade and have two sons. Both of which Wade now has custody over and ex-wife limited visitation. I can’t help but assume it’s because one parent is famous and has more wealth which gives them more power. I don’t believe these actions are the best because majority of the time there on the go more than the regular parent.

These decisions have leaded me to believe in some cases custody battles are biased based on the money and power that you have. Not all cases may be like this but I’m sure that in celebrity cases whoever has the most money for the best lawyer is the winner.
